I don't think it's likely that many of you guys use code regularly. And really, for what I'm about to tell you, you don't need to know anything about it. However if you are familiar with ASP and you use an instant messaging program, you'll know that sharing code with someone else over IM is quite possibly the biggest pain in the ass of all time. Why, those of you who are unfamiliar with code, ask? The instant messaging program tries to interpret your code and ends up displaying nothing which is frustrating when you're trying to tell someone snippets of code. Therefore, I have sunken to new lows. This morning, I made the following statement to a coworker:
alligator left, exclamation point, dash, dash, space, pound, include, space, file, equals, quote, (filename.asp), quote, space, dash, dash, alligator right
Believe it or not - this actually means something!
How bad do you want my job now?

My husband is a computer programmer/engineer...whatever...and when he gets started talking about this stuff I just zone out. I just don't care...is that bad?

I'm guessing that alligator left and right are greater than and less than. I'm curious as to which is which. Does alligator left mean that the mouth opens to the left (>)? Or Maybe that it's the alligator symbol on the left (
