Have you ever noticed your font preferences? I always find this interesting.
I used to be an Arial user until I found Verdana. I prefer Verdana at 10 pixels. When I compose email, I like for my text to be blue, but in written documents, I prefer that text be black. I get email sometimes from people who use Comic Sans in lavender. Some folks use Times New Roman. It’s all personal preference, really.
When I design, I use a multitude of fonts. I pair serifs with sans-serifs, bold with regular, condensed with extended. I let letters overlap one another – I encourage it, actually.
I think that type is visually intriguing, and I love when people love to play with it. One of my very favorite projects was a business card for a company that sold baby products. The back of their card simply listed their products. Playing with the fonts was just fun!

I think design doesn’t always have to be complicated to be pretty. It can be both captivating and simplistic. A little type goes a long way.
It’s little things like this that I obsess over and wonder if anyone else even notices.
Do you have a font preference? And if so what is it?

I'm a Verdana fan as well. It's simple and clean looking. I also like Trebuchet MS, because it's a little more rounded, if that makes sense.
I always seem to avoid using serif fonts. I don't know why, I've just never really liked them.
And I've always hated Comic Sans!
Great post!

All my default font settings are Verdana. I'm not sure what that means except that you and I are insanely cool.
